CREW LEAD GARDENER

 

We are looking for Crew Lead Gardener for, who will work on and lead a garden maintenance and rejuvenation team. This individual will be included in decision-making process of crews, projects and schedules.

 

TASKS:

Main tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Plant and flower bed maintenance

  • Annual planting and maintenance (planters)

  • Garden rejuvenations, and softscaping work

  • Maintain required logs and reports as needed

  • Lead and work in collaboration with a team

  • Ensure efficiency and high-quality work

  • Compliance with workplace safety standards

  • Assist with training, and scheduling

  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, team members and supervisors

  • Developing garden maintenance schedules and procedures

  • Tool and equipment maintenance

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Valid drivers license

  • Horticultural / Gardening / Landscaping education and/or experience

  • Experience leading teams and scheduling projects (not required but an asset)

  • Great organizational, customer service and leadership skills

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude (mandatory)

  • Attention to detail and focus on quality work

  • Organization and excellent customer service

  • Ability to manage time effectively - complete work quickly and efficiently

  • High energy and physically fit, this position is physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions

Job Type:  Full time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Other incentives: gift cards and program passes for full season employees.

Schedule: 8-9 hour shifts M-F. No work on weekends.

Overtime may be required in high peak periods and hours will be banked for time off.

LANDSCAPE GARDENER

We are currently hiring a Landscape Gardener, who will work on a garden maintenance and rejuvenation team. Individuals will be under the supervision of the Team lead. 

 

TASKS:

Main tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Plant and flower bed maintenance 

  • Weed identification and removal

  • Pruning (shrubs + hedges)

  • Annual planting and maintenance (planters)

  • Garden rejuvenations, and softscaping work

  • Maintain required logs and reports as needed 

  • Work in collaboration with a team to achieve common goals and project completion

  • Ensure efficiency and high-quality work

  • Compliance with workplace safety standards

  • Tool and equipment maintenance

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Valid driver's license (preferred)

  • Horticultural / Gardening / Landscaping education and or experience (preferred & a valuable asset but not required)

  • Experience working in a team environment (preferred)

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude (mandatory)

  • Attention to detail and focus on quality work

  • Organization and excellent customer service

  • Ability to manage time effectively - complete work quickly and efficiently

  • Coachable - ability to follow instructions and learn from mistakes (mandatory)

  • High energy and physically fit - this position is physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions
